Cheese Series Dental Diode Laser for Abscess Drain

A tooth abscess is pus enclosed in the tissues of the jaw bone at the apex of an infected tooth’s roots. Usually the abscess originates from a bacterial infection that has accumulated in the soft, often dead, pulp of the teeth.

Abscess drainage is a procedure to incision the abscess and drain the pus in it.

Operation procedure:

1.      Local anesthetic

2.      Connecting dental surgery handpiece with device, setting the parameters.

3.      Wearing a laser safety goggle, starting laser and directing at the most swollen area of the abscess, incision the abscess.

4.      Once the abscess is incised, the pus will drain out and it is left open to continue draining by itself. By removing the pus which consists of bacteria, the tooth and gum tissue will start healing by itself.
